* WHAT...Urban area and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...Areas near Calistoga, St. Helena, Yountville, Lake Berryessa, and the city of Sonoma in northeastern Sonoma and northern and central Napa counties. * WHEN...Until 1215 AM PST Thursday. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Rises in small streams and normally dry arroyos. Overflowing poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 610 PM PST, Doppler radar and automated gauges indicated heavy rain. This will cause urban and small stream flooding. Between 3 and 4.5 inches of rain have fallen. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Napa, Sonoma, St. Helena, Calistoga, Boyes Hot Springs, Yountville, Angwin, Deer Park, Glen Ellen, Eldridge, Fetters Hot Spring, Fetters Hot Springs-Agua Caliente, El Verano and Temelec. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood Information: Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding. In hilly terrain there are hundreds of low water crossings which are potentially dangerous in heavy rain. Do not attempt to cross flooded roads. Find an alternate route. Please report observed flooding to local emergency services or law enforcement and request they pass this information to the National Weather Service when you can do so safely. |

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible. * WHERE...The North Bay. * WHEN...Through late Friday night. * IMPACTS...Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. Low-water crossings may be flooded. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Light to moderate rain is continuing across the watch area. Two to four inches of rain have already fallen in the valley regions with up to six inches of rain in the higher elevations. Areas of the Sonoma County valleys have already reported minor flooding and road closures. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood Information: You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible Flood Warnings.
